Richmond Villages has donated its former sales and marketing lodge to the Aston and Weston Bowls Club in South Derbyshire.

As a thank you for the donation, the club invited members of the company to join them for the official launch of their new bowls pavilion, and to celebrate with a champagne reception.

Club chairman, Jim Ballington said: “On behalf of the Aston and Weston Bowls Club we wish to place on record our sincere gratitude for the help and kindness of everyone at Richmond Villages, from directors to office staff who have been so helpful from day one.  We hope our close and friendly relationship will continue over many years to come.”

Worth over £100,000, the building was used by the company during the construction of its new retirement village until October last year, when the sales team moved into purpose-built offices within the new building.

Richmond Villages organised the dismantling and re-assembly of the building which was then converted into their new pavilion by the club.

Senior village adviser at Richmond Villages Aston on Trent, Claire Fry commented, “We are delighted to see the building going to such good use and wish the bowls club many happy years in their new home.  It was such a pleasure to work in the marketing suite, and it was always a very happy place with a great atmosphere.”
