As well as offering a series of presentations during the day, the event is the chance to meet a range of groups, charities and specialists in everything to do with retirement.  These include specialist holiday advisers and social groups such as Probus, Women’s Institute and the University of the Third Age (U3A), and charities including Age UK and the Stroke Association.

Over 25 organisations will be in attendance, including Alzheimer’s Society, MS Society plus specialists in hearing, aromatherapy, financial planning and legal services, as will Bupa’s elderly advice team, Derby Crown Bowls Association and Richmond Villages.

David Reaves, head of marketing for Richmond Villages commented, “We are delighted to be sponsoring this event.  With people living longer and healthier lives, retirement offers many new opportunities, whether that is a new home, new hobby or the opportunity to travel.  Obviously health and wellbeing is another important factor in retirement, and this event will have experts available to provide help and advice in this area as well.”
Throughout the day there will be a number of presentations which visitors are welcome to attend:
