  • Richmond Villages to explain the benefits of Assisted living at a special open day
  • Saturday 24th September, 10am – 4.00pm
  • Richmond Letcombe Regis, near Wantage

A lot of elderly people want to retain their independence and stay in their own home – that’s completely understandable.  But what is the best thing to do when they start needing help with day-to-day living and you can see they aren’t coping?  Is a care home really the best and only option?

Assisted living available through the Village suites at Richmond retirement villages could provide the answer, and to help people understand more about these apartments and the support services included, Richmond Villages is holding an open day on Saturday 24th September, 10am – 4pm, at Richmond Letcombe Regis, near Wantage.

“Deciding what’s best for mum & dad is an issue facing an increasing number of families as the population ages, and one we hear all too frequently,” says David Reaves, head of marketing at Richmond Villages.  “The open day will enable people to come and find out exactly what assisted living at Richmond Villages includes, the chance to see the apartments as well as an opportunity to view the wonderful facilities we have at our villages.”

As well as Richmond Letcombe Regis, Richmond Villages has a new retirement community opening later this year at Witney, also in Oxfordshire.  The open day will allow people who might be more interested in Witney to view an operational village and learn more about the services available at both retirement villages.

Throughout the day, David Westerby, village manager at Richmond Witney, will be giving brief presentations to explain what assisted living is all about.  There will also be the chance to speak to the village advisers from both villages, as well as other members of staff to talk about the activities, hospitality and care.  The Richmond Villages hospitality team will also be there to offer plenty of refreshments.

There’s no need to pre-book but if you would like to find out more information about the Assisted Living Open Day, please call the village advisers on 01993 768692.  For further information on Assisted living at Richmond Villages visit
