Cotswolds and Oxfordshire Property

Date: May 2016

Whether you aspire to emulate Tom & Barbara in The Good Life by growing your own veg, becoming a hobby farmer and raising a few rare breed pigs, having some land for a horse, pony or donkey, or simply wanting space for the children to run free, any home with a couple of acres instantly gives the property added appeal.

"Especially for young families moving out to the country, having your own land with an acre or two of paddock is much sought after," says Sam Butler of the Cotswold property specialists, Butler Sherborn.  "While helping to create new lifestyles such as riding and all that has to offer, a good piece of land greatly enhances the experience of living in any home, without adding hugely to the cost of the property," he adds.

Butler Sherborn has several great Cotswold properties available with additional land:

Note to editors:

The Cotswolds
The Cotswolds are located in the heart of England and within the counties of Gloucestershire, Oxfordshire, Warwickshire, Worcestershire and Wiltshire.  It is the largest designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty in England and Wales, and very roughly starts to the east of Gloucester and Cheltenham in the west, runs up to just below Evesham in the north, includes parts of West Oxfordshire where Burford is known as the Gateway to the Cotswolds, and south to the Cotswold Water Park a few miles beyond Cirencester, the former Roman city and Capital of the Cotswolds.

With excellent road and rail communications - London, Bristol and Birmingham are all within an hour by train - the area has become popular with those moving out of the city or wanting second homes to escape at weekends.
